Prancing Pony Glass

Anita Troisi, Stained Glass Artist

Born in Philadelphia in 1941, Anita Troisi, was interested in art from an early age. She majored in vocational art at Germantown High School in Philadelphia before going on to study for 4 years at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia (formerly Philadelphia College of Arts), graduating with a Bachelor's of Fine Art in illustration.

Anita moved to Pottstown in 1969 and began working with stained glass in 1977 as an entirely SELF TAUGHT artist! Anita founded her Pottstown business The Prancing Pony taken from the Prancing Pony Inn featured in JRR Tolkien's "The Fellowship of the Ring."

Anita featured her works in several studio shops in Pottstown over the years, as well as The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.

Anita’s work has been awarded prizes, inclugin a large peacock mirror that won first prize in the glass category at the PA Guild Craft Exhibit and her work is also featured in several cars of the Colebrookdale Railroad - The Secret Valley Line.

She has many creative loves beyond stained glass including painting, photography, sewing and, I quote ... "baying at the full moon." JRR Tolkein? Howling at the moon? We LOVE this woman!

We feel honored that such an accomplished artist would grace The Collective with her incredible works.
